Burkhard Vogtherr
Burkhard Vogtherr is one of the leading furniture designers in Germany. He consciously restricts himself to this profession and dedicates all of his thoughts and ideas to it.
Burkhard Vogtherr (*1942) is a trained cabinetmaker and studied Industrial Design in Kassel and Wuppertal (graduated 1967). Since 1972 he has worked as a freelance designer. He has done work for PHILIP Möbelmanufaktur since 1971, creating furniture ranges such as »Hombre«, »Consenza« and – together with Markus Dörner – »maxmax«.
His international customers include: Arflex – Italy, Bushi Urushi – Japan, Cappellini – Italy, Davis Furniture Inc – USA, Dietiker – Switzerland, Fritz Hansen – Denmark, Wittmann – Austria, Lübke, Stilwood, Rosenthal
