Pared-down design for the executive floor
Responsible work demands an appropriate setting.
The new executive floor at AMB Generali in Aachen is a perfect example of the successful implementation of this premise. Together with retail partner FORUM and architect Daniel Schmitz of Architektur Konzepte in Düren, Rosenthal Einrichtung furnished the holding company’s offices and conference rooms with its PRISMA table system. The Espelkamp-based manufacturer furnished four separate executive areas, each with its own management office and conference room for 12 to 16 people.
AMB Generali Holding AG is the dynamic management holding, one of the biggest and most successful direct insurance groups in Germany.
AMB Generali includes renowned insurers and financial services companies such as AachenMünchener, Volksfürsorge, Generali, CosmosDirekt, Central health insurance and Advocard legal protection insurance.
A table system was required for its base in Aachen that, while understated and graceful in appearance, would reflect the company’s success - in other words, Prisma.
The strict geometric design radiates clarity and self-confidence whilst also creating the impression of gracious lightness with its angled lines. This clever combination of classic and modern is the perfect complement to the formally severe architecture of AMB Generali in Aachen.
The style of lacquer work, so typical of the Prisma look, harmonises cleverly with the overall interior: with the room predominantly in red and white, the black and steel of the Prisma table system radiates a clarity and aesthetic appeal that is only to be desired in such an elegant setting. The desk appeals with its unique design, which is in fact what makes it such a visual delight.
The cubic table plinth, a characteristic element in the pared-down style that is typical of Prisma, is a focal point in the room without dominating it.
The table systems also include technical boxes, interfaces for LAN, WAN, ISDN, audio and VGA, plus mains connection, and so are completely equipped for modern office life. And the way Rosenthal Einrichtung incorporates these interfaces in the furniture is unique.
All in all, in the Prisma table system, Rosenthal Einrichtung has come up with a solution that has a uniqueness and appeal that delighted everyone involved with it from the very outset.
This new executive level is now also heading for external marketing: as well as being used in-house here, the surrounding subsidiaries are also being invited to hold their meetings in these facilities.
